8) The working poor are people that work full time minimum wage jobs, and still fall below the poverty line. This makes up an unfortunate amount of the United States population, because minimum wage is as low as seven dollars in some areas. They were only making around forty dollars a day while working all day!
11) No, because people probably go there, use the electricity, then leave before paying the bill. The electric company is making sure that they get paid. They decided to move into an apartment in a not so good neighborhood, so it was expected that they would have to pay more on a down payment.
