2. Budgeting played a big role in their survival. Due to their small income they had to be careful on what they spend money and how much. Because with a small income like that once you fall into debt it is very hard to come out of debt and pay out everything. Lives for people on similar incomes is very hard and it is a big struggle. Living is very hard and. It not even living anymore its surviving. Some people have to think and worry if they are going to have food on the table tomorrow. That is why budgeting is so important for people in these situations. They have to strictly deiced between needs and wants. For Morgan and Alex budgeting was probably harder. This was a new experience for them. Which means they had to quickly figure out how much money they could spend certain necessities. In order not to fall in to debt.
6. We all know that money loses value over time. And the change probably isn't very drastic in ones lifetime but some ones minimum wage salary should not decrease if the value of money is decreasing it just does not make sense. I completely agree with Gerald's reasoning. He should not be earning less then 25 years ago. This shows that the economy of the US is not improving, but in fact might be weakening. What does this mean mean for people living on minimum wage. This means they cant live alone, they wouldn't be able to pay for everything by then selves. They are working just to be able to survive. They are not living. People live like this all of their lives.

I agree with your response to number 6 completely because of how you touched on the fact that an amount of money today can buy less than only 25 years ago. Also, your comments about Gerald and the economy made sense in that his experiences proved that our minimum wage needs to be increased. -Luke Masini
